Walking down from the south of Fort Canning Hill one approaches the rear of the Sing Museum, and in doing so one is confronted with the sight of a giant chilli sitting on the grass. This giant chilli is an artistic creation by the talented sculptor, — sorry — "conceptual artist", Kumari Nahappan, who has created a number of similar eye-catching sculptures in this island nation.

The sculpture is big, at least three metres tall, and a dark brown, red, texture in colour. According to the info online (link below) the chilli is "iconic", universally popular, symbolic of Singapore, "powerful" and "energy", ummm. Anyway, it looks cool, catches the eye, and is neat piece of art. The plaque associated with the sculpture lists some of the detail.
