The clocks are mounted on all four sides of the tower. The tower was styled after the Magdalen Tower at Oxford, United Kingdom. The building was built between 1848 and 1856. The church is the third church for the the parish, with all three in this area of Sydney. The clock has a tan stone face with Roman numerals and black hands.
