Die Gemeinschaft der englischsprachigen Christen war wegen der Anwesenheit einer großen Zahl von amerikanischen Soldaten in Frankfurt und dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg stark gestiegen. Das US-Militär verpachtete der Kirche eine Grundstück an der Ecke Hansaallee und Miquelallee und das Britische schickte eine Nissenhütte als Gebäude.
In Jahre 1956 wurde der Grundstein der heutigen Kirche gelegt. Die Kirche wurde von der anglikanischen Gemeinde (unter dem Namen St. Christopher) und der Schwester Gemeinde, der Altkatholischen Gemeinde St. Willibrod, gemeinsam genutzt. 1985 zogen die Alt-Katholiken in ihre neue Gemeinde in Frankfurt-Bockenheim und der Name der Kirche wurde zu Christ the King geändert.
Familiengottesdienste mit Kommunion werden jeden Sonntag um 11 Uhr in englischer Sprache gehalten.

The community of English-speaking Christians had increased because of the presence of a large number of American military personnel in Frankfurt and the wider Rhein-Main region following the Second World War. The U.S. Military loaned the Church a site at the corner of Hansaallee and Miquelallee and the British sent a Nissen Hut for the building.
In 1956 the cornerstone of the present church was laid. The church was shared by the Anglican congregation (under the name of St Christopher) and the sister congregation, the Old Catholic Congregation of St. Willibrod. In 1985 the Old Catholics moved to a site in Frankfurt-Bockenheim and the name of the church was changed to Christ the King.
Family worship services with Holy Eucharist will be held at 11 am every Sunday in English language.
