Fort Canning Park is a hill, and one of the older and now tourist areas of Singapore, located a little to the north west of the city centre. The main set of stairs upwards to the summit of the park contains a number of sights, one of these is this relief, which stretches equally from both sides of the steps.
The relief is a multipart telling of the pre-British days of Singapore, from the simple days of happy hunter-gathers, and the various kingdoms and spheres of influence which swept over the island periodically. Each section is ~5m long and 1.5m high. There is a explanatory plaque (in gallery), that describes each scene. Due to the tight geography it is impossible to obtain a single photograph of the relief.
There are no details of the relief, but it shows signs of wear, and has clearly been in place for a few decades. It is well crafted, but perhaps not outstandingly so.
