A REALLY GREAT display in the Waneta Junction Mall at Trail, BC.

Coordinates are for the main entrance to the mall. The display is just inside, in the centre of the mall. The display is normally open 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM Saturdays and Wednesdays, with many special open days through the year.
The centrepiece of this display is a miniaturization of the Rossland area. It includes models of an almost complete downtown Rossland, models of the workings of some of the more notable mines at Rossland, such as the Le Roi and the War Eagle, and many buildings and communities in the area.
For the season there is a beautiful little Christmas village, and behind that, a model of British railroading.
To the rear of the centrepiece display is a model centred on a railroad switchyard, with maintenance buildings and even a turntable, set in Monument Valley, AZ.
As well, there are smaller displays and static railroad related displays. This was all put together by a group of railroad loving volunteers who banded together and formed "Golden City Railroad Modellers". Their website has a track plan and lots of pix of the display. Well worth a peek.
