The Museum's website is in Spanish and has this to say about itself:

"El Museo de Arte de Mazatlán se fundó en noviembre de 1998. Cuenta con dos salas de exposiciones: una sala permanente y otra temporal. En la primera se exhiben importantes piezas del acervo de la institución; obras de artistas mexicanos de reconocimiento internacional, destacando Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Toledo, Antonio López Sáenz, José Luis Cuevas, Vicente Rojo, y Edgardo Coghlan, entre otros artístas plásticos de primer nivel. En la sala temporal se exhíbe cada mes una obra representativa de los mejores exponentes de la plástica en el estado y otras ciudades del país.

En 2008 se atendió la rehabilitación del Museo de Arte de Mazatlán, un justo reclamo y una sentida aspiración de la comunidad artística y académica del sur del estado. Dichos trabajos, cofinanciados por el Gobierno de Sinaloa y CONACULTA, se ejecutaron respetando la estructura arquitectónica del MAM, conservándola acorde con el entorno del centro histórico de este bello puerto sinaloense. De manera especial, el nuevo equipamiento del Museo se enriqueció con la inauguración de una Librería Educal."

The poster of this Waymark was able to visit the Museum without seeing anybody in the area.... noone to sell or take tickets....and it is unknown whether one needs a ticket. The website does not answer this question either. Therefore, the box below indicates that the Museum is free.
