The Southern part of Portugal - Alentejo - is known as the "barn of the country" due to its flatland, ideal to grow cereals. But sunflowers grow well around here too. The pictures for this waymark were taken in June, when sunflowers are at their best in this part of the world. The coordinates were almost randomly taken, as there are fields full of this yellow flowers all around.
