In Warwick, within Conimicut Point Park, is a sign that was installed as part of a Boy Scout Eagle Project.

There are a couple ways to the park. The best way is: from Rhode Island Route 117, turn onto Economy Ave, then Symonds Ave, then Point Ave to the parking lot at the end. The sign is located at the northeastern edge of the parking lot, at the edge of the sidewalk. Beyond the sign as you read it, you can see the subject of the sign: the Conimicut Lighthouse.

The sign has quite a bit of text about the lighthouse in a durable, weatherproofed sign. The lighthouse structure currently standing was built in 1882 and stands at the mouth of the Providence River emptying into Narragansett Bay. The lighthouse was operated by keepers who lived elsewhere, at first. The U.S. Coast Guard took over control of the lighthouse in 1939, but didn't take over the operation of the lighthouse until the 1950s. The lamp was changed to electricity in 1960, and was converted to solar power in 2003. On September 29, 2004, a ceremony was performed to transfer control of the lighthouse from the U.S. Coast Guard to the City of Warwick. In 2005, the Conimicut Lighthouse Foundation was created to preserve the lighthouse.

At the bottom right of the sign are credits that state: "This kiosk was completed by the Eagle Project by Mason Martino with the help of the Conimicut Village Association, the City of Warwick, and the Boy Scout Troop 4 Gaspee." In addition, there is the logo for the Boy Scouts of America in the upper right corner of the sign.
