Sculptor Wrestling with his Stone was completed by John McKinnon and in 2001 was placed in Iqaluit's Sculpture Park. There is no sign marking the location and it is not marked on any maps so I came upon it by chance. It really is a delightful spot in a city that doesn't have a lot of outstanding features of art on public display. Too bad because the city, and Nunavut in general, is home to hundreds of carvers and other artists whose works can be found in galleries around Iqaluit. The photos offer a couple of different perspectives on the work of art and the surroundings.
