We were lucky to have a great Egyptian guide who explained to us the meanings of the hieroglyphs. Our default picture shows the coronation of the Pharaoh Ptolemy by the goddess Nekhbet on the right and the goddess Wadjet on the left.

The Temple of Edfu dedicated to the falcon god Horus, was built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BCE. It is one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt. (visit link)

Entrance to the site costs 40 Egyptian pounds, and the site is open between 6am - 5pm during the summer and 7am - 4pm during the winter.
Type of Pictograph: Hieroglyph
