This bandshell which passes over the stream is found at Wentworth Park in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This bandshell is found at the end of Wentworth Park. Locals say that it is rarely used and seems to have become a venue for pilates and other workout forms during the summer.
Kids will use the concrete pad to practice their skateboard tricks as they pass through the park.
Locals commenting on various websites comment that some of its original parts are no longer there which maybe a function of the re-development and revitalization of the park.

Reasons for a Federal Assessment
On July 22, 2008, it was determined that an environmental assessment was required in relation to the project because Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation considered providing financial assistance to the proponent.
Project Description (as posted in the Notice of Commencement)
The Project Proponent is adding an additional work component to Phase III of the Wentworth Park System Upgrade. This additional work will take place on the existing band shell structure, which is located at the head of the upper pond next to the Argyle Street and George Street intersection. The modifications to the band shell will see the installation of new decking and railings around the rear of the structure, concrete work for access to this deck area is also required. Sand blasting will remove all existing paint, which covers the concrete band shell structure. An epoxy resin will then be applied to re-seal the concrete works. Landscaping with trees, shrubs and grass will complete this aspect of the project. Construction will use standard materials and processes for work of this nature.
Final Decision
A
decision was taken on January 23, 2009 and was that the authority may exercise any power or perform any duty or function with respect to the project because, after taking into consideration the screening report and taking into account the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures, the authority is of the opinion that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
