A cemetery designated for soldiers who served in the Confederate States of America military where several Confederate soldiers and one Union comrade in arms peacefully rest. The cemetery is located within the Spring Hill cemetery complex at Charleston, West Virginia.

Located in Kanawha County, West Virginia, this cemetery is the final resting place of several soldiers of the famous Confederate Kanawha Riflemen. Within the Confederate burial grounds a single Union soldier rests among his Confederate brothers.
The cemetery complex was officially established in 1869 and covers more than 172 acres making it West Virginia’s largest cemetery. It is home to several unique and independent cemeteries including this Confederate cemetery. The cemetery offers tremendous views of West Virginias capital city, Charleston and has burials dating back to the early 1800’s, with documented burials to 1818.
