In the beginning of 1945 the German troops had forced Italian labourers to build foundations for the construction of a launching path for V1 rockets. These activities have ultimately led to bombing the north side of Warmond by the Royal Air Force, fortunately without too much damage. The installation has never been used.
The foundations can still be found in the ‘Bos van Krantz’
