In the towns of Truro and Provincetown is a network of ORV trails that run along beaches and dunes through the Cape Cod National Seashore.

The trails are at the very end of the Cape, on the outer edge of the peninsula that is open to the Atlantic Ocean. There are several entrance points.

The system runs from Race Point at the far west end of the Cape to Long Nook Beach. It is not currently contiguous. There are some sections that are currently closed. Included in the gallery is the map as of 2012, but consult the NPS web site for the latest map and information.

All require a permit - the link is found below to learn details, which change with each year. In particular, trails are often closed during nesting season. Permits appear to be in high demand, so if you want to go, you need to plan well ahead. About 4400 permits are issued annually, both weekly and annual.
