Beja is the capital city of the administrative region of Baixo Alentejo, in Southern Portugal. It's a flat area, a giant barn serving the country with its production of wheat and other cereals. Sunny, extremely warm during the Summer, Beja is not one of the most touristic cities of the country, but has its charm, with its ancient castle and narrow streets.
The building of the city hall is located in the main square (Praça da República) and it's a charming building, but I couldn't find any relevant data regarding it. It's probably from the 17th Century, with three large windows over three doors made of iron bars. Over the central window, a crest carved in stone shows the symbol of the city.
