L’école etait pour les enfants de 5 a 12 ans. Elle était à l’origine située à quatre arpents plus au nord. En 1885, les commissaires prennent la décision de transporter l’école dans le septième rang sur le terrain appartenant à M. Bénonie Poirier. Un solage de quatre pieds en pierre fut construit, un puits fut creusé et de nombreuses réparations furent faites à l’intérieur de l’école afin que tout soit fin prêt pour sa réouverture en septembre. Loin d’être à court de rebondissements, un autre événement vient perturber l’existence de cette école de rang. En juin 1891, un incendie se déclare, les flammes brûlant en intégralité ce lieu de connaissances. Suite à une lettre du département de l’instruction publique accordant la reconstruction, les travaux pouvaient commencer.
En 1950, l’école no. 5 du rang Campbell est la dernière à se joindre à la Commission scolaire de Sainte-Sabine fondée en 1914. Puis, en 1958, c’est la construction de l’école centrale et incontournablement celle de la fermeture de l’école de Rang no. 5. L’époque des écoles de rang étant révolue, une page de l’histoire de l’éducation du Québec était tournée.
The school was for student from 5 to 12. It was originally located on four acres to the north. In 1885, the commissioners make the decision to move the school in seventh place on the land belonging to Mr. Poirier Benonie. Soiling a four-foot stone was built, a well was dug and many repairs were made within the school so that everything is ready for its reopening in September. Far from being short of surprises, another event disturbs the existence of the schoolhouse. In June 1891, a fire broke out, flames burning in this place full of knowledge. Following a letter from the Department of Education granting the reconstruction work could begin. In 1950, the school no. 5 of Campbell Road is the latest to join the School Board of Sainte-Sabine founded in 1914. Then, in 1958, is the construction of the school and central incontournablement that of closing the school Rank no. 5. The days of being gone schoolhouses, a page in the history of education in Quebec was turned.
