A separate marker reads:
The contents of this capsule represent Star Valley at the turn of the century. Buried on July 1, 2000 by the Star Valley Rotary Club, the capsule contains items collected from all of Star Valley's communities, reflecting life at the start of this millenium.
The Rotary Club asks that this capsule be opened July 1, 2050 under the direction of the mayor of Afton, and that the items be placed in a local museum.
We hope that the beauty and lifestyle enjoyed in 2000 will still be a part of Star Valley in 2050.
