This bronze model of the quarter around the Münster (cathedral) in the scale of 1:500 is located at the north bank of the Rhine, just across the river of the original area. The model covers an area of about 300 to 800 meters that includes a large part of the medieval center of Basel.
The model has two descriptive plates in German, normal font on the right and Braille to the left.
The model was one of the winners in a idea contest a local bank arranged on its 100th anniversary in 1999.
