The Quarters 7-8 building was constructed in 1894 to serve as officer quarters. The two-and-a-half story brick duplex is one of many along "Generals Row" on Offutt Air Force Base facing the parade field. The building was constructed when Fort Crook was an army fort built to serve as a dispatch point to the Great Plains for Indian conflicts.

The building now serves as housing for general officers or other high ranking officers and families assigned to United States Strategic Command.

This building is located on an active US Air Force Base. Access to the base is restricted and is easiest accessed by active duty, retired, or reserve service members or while accompanied by an individual in that status. Occasionally there are other times when the base has more open status during the year for various events.
