This welcome sign welcomes travels by plane that they have reached where it all started. In the great state of North Carolina and only about a few hundred few east.

This sign is different from all the other ones of the state. This welcome sign is located at the First in Flight airport. Only cessnas and small planes can land here. It welcomes though from mainly Virginia that they are in North Carolina. The sign faces the main tarmac and the back faces the Wright brothers monument. Only about a 300 feet walk from here to the top of Kill Devil Hill and a half mile walk to where it all started. This sign has a picture of the first self propelled aircraft built by the wright brothers in flight at Kitty Hawk.
