This place can be reached by leaving the road Almodôvar - Mértola and then drive about 2 km on a dirt road in perfect condition.

It's a surprising spot, especially in the Summer: it's located in an extremely dry region and still, even in severe drought years, it's always greenish around.

There is a course of water, some picnic facilities, a nature board with information about local fauna and flora and even a suggested short hiking trail.

The spring itself provides water rich sulfur, which makes it stink. There is a bucket so anyone can take water out of the spring hole.
