In this location you will find a small exhibit, part of the main museum of Mértola, dedicated to the blacksmith trade. It was inaugurated in 2001, in the former workshop of the last blacksmith of Mértola, who died in the 80's. It closes on Mondays. Otherwise expect to find it open during normal business hours. Free entrance.
Next door lives an old lady who's the daughter of the last blacksmith. She's very friendly and most probably she will try to establish a conversation with you, specially if you are Portuguese. Obviously, she has plenty of stories which will be gladly shared with the casual visitor, who will most probably be invited for a tea in her home.
