The Museum für Gestaltung is Switzerland's leading design and visual communication museum and one of the most visited museums of Zürich.
It was founded in 1875 and has a close connection to the Zürich University of Arts. It was originally located in a wing of the nearby Swiss National Museum and moved to the current location in 1933. The building was designed by the architects Adolf Steger (1888-1939) and Karl Egender (1897-1969). The museum is handicapped accessible and includes a library, a gift shop and a cafeteria.
