This cairn is located in Spencer's Island, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia on the Minas Basin Approximately 50 feet south of the lighthouse.

This cairn is a memorial to the famous ghost ship Mary Celeste that was built here in 1861 and found derelict off the Azores with no crew and apparently still seaworthy. This is located beside the shore where the shipyard that built her was located. Some remnants of the yard still exist.
