Vodní elektrárna v Písku je druhé nejstarší zarízení tohoto typu v Cechách, (starší je v Jindrichove Hradci). V r. 1888 zde František Križík vybudoval elektrárnu se 3 dynamy, která bez velkých úprav fungovala do r. 1986. Obnovena byla v r. 1994, roku 1997 zde bylo zrízeno muzeum a centrum eklogické výchovy.

Hydroelectric power plant in the sand is the second oldest facilities of its kind in Bohemia, (earlier in Jindrichuv Hradec). In 1888, Francis Krizik built a plant with 3 dynamo, which operated without major changes to the 1986. It was restored in 1994, in 1997 there was a museum and environmental education centre.
