The Church of St. Michael is on the Žerotín Square - the highest point of the ancient center of Olomouc. It is a majestic nave, early Baroque church with two side chapels, which was built in the years 1673-1699 on the ruins of the original Gothic church. From the 14th and 15 Century, the Gothic cloister, the vault in the sacristy and the chapel of St. Alexei have been preserved. The Dominicans, who had their residence commissioned the Italian architect Giovanni Pietro Tencalla with the construction of the new church and other transformations were by Domenico Martinelli at the beginning of the 18th Century executed. The greatest pride of the church is the trio of domes (with frescoes of Matous Pizka E.), from which rises the highest dome in an incredible height of 37 meters. The majority of the interior, including five altars (4 side altars, one of the main altar) and the organ has been preserved in its original form. The front of the church is with the statues of Ondrej Zahner from the 1st Half of the 18th Century decorated.
