Das im fränkisch-hennebergisch gehaltene Fachwerkgebäude wurde im Jahr 1908 als Post- und Telegraphenanstalt errrichtet. Auch im Jahr 2012 erfreut es den Waymarker immer noch durch seine relative Frische in der Erscheinung, auch ohne Nutzung für Postalische Zwecke. Leider gibt es jetzt in der Altstadt eine Postagentur.
