«The Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) was founded in 1921 and now consists of nearly two-hundred branches. Within those branches, most members have served in HM Armed Forces while others have family or associate membership.
The aims of the RBLS are to: provide care for former Service personnel; remember and honour those who have died in the service of their country; educate the public as to the duty of remembrance and our obligation to care for survivors and to provide free representation at Pensions Tribunals; hence our motto: “Service Not Self”.
The RBLS achieves this by holding social events and ceremonial occasions; barbeques, dances and outings plus best-kept war memorial competitions and other public events. But above all the RBLS is a social organisation where like-minded people can meet.»
The Fort Augustus Branch is located in the Canal Side.
