Finding this place was quite a surprise. They actually took over the facilities which were being used for many years by sandwich restaurant chain "Companhia das Sandes", the first of its kind in Portugal.
Located in the most central place of Faro, side by side with McDonalds, and featuring a terrace with great views (which might be close by the time of your visit), Confraria das Bifanas is a great place for a quality fast food meal.
There are several menus available. To give you an idea of the prices, I picked the "extra" menu, and it included a 400 ml glass of a beverage of your choice and two "bifanas", for 5 Euros.
The "bifanas" were almost perfect. What was missing for perfection? The meat was a bit salty. Otherwise, soft meat, very tasty, well marinated, perfectly fried.... excellent.
