Every year the Swiss national holiday, August 1st, is celebrated on the sports field Spiegelfeld in the town center. After speeches, music, and a lantern procession for the children the ceremony finally always ends with a fireworks display at 10PM (scheduled, but usually a bit later).
The ceremony is located on the southern field, that is also the best viewpoint. But the fireworks are visible from almost any location within a kilometer distance.
This year I was able to capture some of the preparation works during daytime on the northern playing field from where the fireworks are shot.
