This is the so-called 'Ulmer Münster' (Ulm Minster). It is located in the center of Ulm, Germany, Baden-Württemberg. It is a Gothic styled church with the tallest church tower in the world. It is also presented on a German tourist stamp.

The creation of the Ulmer Münster took 600 years until the main tower was finished in 1890.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the 1377th Thus in 1977, the 600 th anniversary was celebrated. The stamp commemorates this event.

The tower can be entered - even to a height of 141 meters of the 157 meters. You will have a fantasstic view over the city of Ulm. But you have to enter 763 steps!

The coordinates have been taken in front of the main entrance.


The tourist stamp was published in July 2012.
