Armenian Heritage Park Labyrinth - Boston, MA - Labyrinths on Waymarking.com

In Boston, along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, is the Armenian Heritage Park, which has, as its central feature, a circular labyrinth with a fountain at its center.

The labyrinth is located at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue-Purchase Street and Mercantile Street, and is near the Christopher Columbus Park.

The start is on the north side. The path winds its way around every part of the circle and eventually makes it to the center. The fountain spouts a single stream of water vertically about two feet. Around the labyringh are four unattached short paths with the following text at each end:

Short Path 1: "Service"
Short Path 2: "Art"
Short Path 3: "Science"
Short Path 4: "Commerce"

The web site has the following about the park:

"The Park celebrates the immigrant experience and contributions made to American life and culture, and commemorates lives lost during the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923 and all genocides that have followed. The Park and its endowed public programs, including the annual reconfiguration of the sculpture and the Najarian Lecture on Human Rights at Faneuil Hall, are a gift from the Armenian-American community to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston."

The web site mentions that someone leads people through the labyrinth once a month during this summer [2012]. The park was created in 2011-12, and, thus, is new.
