Beginning in 1992 petro-Canada, Eight Calgary Area Rotary Clubs, The Inglewood Community Assocation, The City of Calgary and Ducks Unlimited Canada joined with other organizations and hundreds of volunteers to restore the site to a more natural state.

Look across the railroad tracks and you can see the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary - another must see since you are so close.
