This is the so-called 'Unterfeuer Bremerhaven' (Bremerhaven Front Lighthouse). This is a lighthouse located nearby to the so-called 'Zoo am Meer' in Bremerhaven, Germany.

The red lighthouse with its two white stripes is located at the southern mole. It was built in 1893.

At the beginning the light was created by a mirror and a kerosene lamp. Later it was created by a gas lamp. Since 1925 there is an electrical light installed.

The lighthouse has been move for 56 meters in 1992 when the nearby zoo was increased.

The height of the tower is 26 meters. And the height of the light is 21 meters.
