Die mächtige Winter-Linde bei Kriering (Gemeinde Wittibreut) mit ihren weit ausladenden Ästen beherrscht hier weithin das Landschaftsbild. Mit ihren 150 Jahren überstand dieser Baum einige Stürme, harte Winter und anderweitige Belastungen. Sie präsentiert sich Ihrem Besucher bis heute als ein gesunder und vitaler Baum.

Sie wurde 1976 als Naturdenkmal erfasst. Anfang der 80er Jahre wurde die Krone mit Seilen verspannt um die Bruchsicherheit zu erhöhen.

The massive Lime near Kriering (community of Wittibreut) with their wide spreading branches dominates the landscape here. With its 150 years, this tree survived a few storms, harsh winters and other stresses. But it still presents itself as a vital and healthy tree.

In 1976 the tree was recorded as a natural monument. In the early 80s, the crown was tightened with ropes in order to decrease a breakage.
