We saw several electric car charging stations in Madeira. This is the only one I took a picture and GPS position. Electric cars are actually available in Madeira. Madeira generates a significant amount of electricity from wind turbines and hydro associated with the levadas. Porto Moniz is at the far north west of the island, a useful place to have a charging station. This is about as far as you can go from the Funchal, the main city, but well within the range of an electric car.
