Varmahlið is la village standing at the foot of Vatnskarð pass.
There is an easy walk up to the top of the hill Reykjarhóll, which offers a good lookout point, with a pleasant stroll through the woods, owned by the Forestry Department.
On the top of the hill, you will find this sundial that gives you the time as well as the directions to different geographic points.
