Christ Church Cathedral is the "Mother Church" of all of the Anglican churches in the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

What you see here is the fourth church, replacing in 1754 the prior wooden structures of which two were destroyed by the Spaniards. It is a Gothic style cathedral constructed of locally quarried limestone. The building begins with the tower erected in 1830, and then further expansions made between 1834 to 1861. Recent renovation occured in the 1990s.
Its clergy and membership are active in the community with various mission projects.
