This post office is the most northernly located in Iceland, very close to the Arctic Circle on Grimsey Island.
It is inside the Budin Store, the general store on the island.
Grímsey is a small island in the country of Iceland, 40 kilometres off the north coast of the main island of Iceland.
In January 2011 Grímsey had 86 inhabitants. It is well known because it is crossed by the Arctic Circle.
There is a boat going to the island 3 times a week, leaving from Dalvik.
There is only one grocery store and only one post office on Grimsey Island.
