The green pump stands on a small square between the village hall and several shops and restaurants. Next to it there is an information sign boasting about "the best water in Norway available here". It also reads that this is one of the driest areas of Norway, with yearly precipitation comparable to Sahara - which is hard to believe if you visit Lom in July, the wettest month of the year.
The pump was not working when I was there (July 2012).
