This old fire engine can be seen inside Penrhyn Castle. It is an award winning steam fire engine.

Manufactured by Merryweather in London, this old engine has been restored and is preserved in the Railway Museum inside Penrhyn Castle. Materials used are wood and brass and the long hose can be seen underneath the carriage.
There are brass plaques on the engine one which reads:
'Awarded upwards of 60 gold medals and first prizes.
Gold medal inventions exhibition 1885.
Merryweather, London.'
