The club is AMA sanctioned and has a field located south of Montgomery, Alabama, down U.S. Highway 331. The field has a 800 by 100 foot grass runway, which one of the members was mowing the morning I visited. They have a covered Pit Area, along with five flying stations located behind protective netting. There are several four foot by eight foot tables for members to work on their models. Guests are welcome. The primary day one will find members flying is on Saturday, although some gather on Thursday afternoons.

The listed coordinates are for the field itself. The field is located on a dirt road which leads from U.S. Hwy 331. The coordinates for the dirt road turnoff are N32° 13.331 W86° 17.586. One possible landmark is the Snowdoun Vetenary Clinic is across from the dirt road. One also needs to notice the gates on the dirt road. They were open when I visited, and that is common. I was told by the club member that if the gates are closed, one just opens them, drives through, and closes them again. The gates to the model airplane field are locked when members are not there, but one can see the field and walk to see what is there. The club member also told me that members enjoy showing their planes to visitors and were willing to help teach those interested in learning about the hobby. They will also explain about membership and field safety rules, which can be found on the club web page (visit link)

The following is from the club website:

"Our flying field is located 5 miles south of Montgomery on US331.Our field offer lots of parking a 800' x 100 ' grass runway covered Pit Area. There are 5 flying stations located behind a protective netting for the safety of the pilots. Along with a safety net behind the pilot stations for protection from the pit area. We also have several 4' by 8' work tables so we don't have to crouch on the ground to assemble and disassemble our aircraft."
