Die Mikojan-Gurewitsch MiG-21 (NATO-Codename: Fishbed) ist ein Überschall Kampfflugzeug, es wurde vom Mikojan-Gurewitsch Design Bureau in der Sowjetunion entwickelt. Rund 50 Staaten auf vier Kontinenten haben die MiG-21 geflogen, ein halbes Jahrhundert nach ihrem Jungfernflug dient sie noch immer in vielen Ländern. Sie ist der am häufigsten produzierte Überschalljet in der Geschichte der Luftfahrt und das am häufigsten produzierte Kampfflugzeug seit dem Korea-Krieg.[1]
Diese MiG-21F13 der Luftstreitkräfte / Luftverteidigung der NVA (Seriennummer: 688, Produktionsnummer: 1006)[2] dient heute als Wegweiser für das Luftfahrtmuseum Hannover-Laatzen und steht am Parkplatz Ost der Hannover Messe.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO reporting name: Fishbed) is a supersonic jet fighter aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. Some 50 countries of four continents have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations a half-century after its maiden flight. It is the most-produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history and the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War.[1]
The MiG-21F13 of the Air Force / Air Defense of the NVA (Serial number: 688, Production number: 1006)[2] is now used as a signpost for the Luftfahrtmuseum Hannover-Laatzen (Aviation museum Hannover-Laatzen) and stands at Parking Place Ost of the Hannover fairground.
