L’école était à l’origine située à quatre arpents plus au nord. En 1885, les commissaires prennent la décision de transporter l’école dans le septième rang sur le terrain appartenant à M. Bénonie Poirier. Un solage de quatre pieds en pierre fut construit, un puits fut creusé et de nombreuses réparations furent faites à l’intérieur de l’école afin que tout soit fin prêt pour sa réouverture en septembre. Loin d’être à court de rebondissements, un autre événement vient perturber l’existence de cette école de rang. En juin 1891, un incendie se déclare, les flammes brûlant en intégralité ce lieu de connaissances. Suite à une lettre du département de l’instruction publique accordant la reconstruction, les travaux pouvaient commencer.
