Ursprünglich diente es den Venezianern als Kirche, bis es im Jahre 1657 unter der Herrschaft von Pascha Gaza Hussein in eine Moschee umgewandelt wurde. Das Gebäude verfügt über drei Kuppeln, die aus der Nähe nicht zu überblicken sind.
