Free Lithuania, Vilnius, Lithuania - Monuments of the Eastern Freedomfights on Waymarking.com

This memorial, which is formed by an assorted set of objects, is dedicated to the events which led to the freedom of Lithuania, in January 1991.

Perhaps the most important part of the memorial is the pieces of the wall which was erected around the (by then) Supreme Council to protect it from a Soviet assault. The memorial is very close to the place, which is now the Lithuanian Parliament.
