Organized in 1907, the current church building was erected in 1925. The church sits on a side street on the north side of the downtown area. In the basement is a storm shelter. Christ Lutheran holds firmly that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and as such is a member of the small but growing American Association of Lutheran Churches.
