- Quelle: Wikipedia

"The 845m sq km island of Lanzarote covers about three-quarters of lava spewed from a minimum of 300 craters of about 100 volcanoes. The Eruptivmaterial the six years of eruptions from 1 September 1730 to April 16, 1736 covered about 167 square kilometers of Lanzarote. The Timanfaya National Park in the southwest of the island covers 51.07 km ², were from the city limits Yaizas to Montaña Timanfaya, the western boundary is the coastline. Here then created 32 volcanoes. These outbreaks in the 18th century, not only because of the large amount of spat out material, but also because of the long term, the most significant in the history of volcanism.
