Tangling with wildlife can bring your trip to a rapid halt, especially if you are sitting on the speed limit of 110km/hr.

It is best not to travel at night because of the wildlife, including feral camels, and special care needs to be taken around sunrise and sunset.

Your scribe did not see any camels or wombats, and only one kangaroo in a continental crossing by car, but did see many ravens/crows and also wedgetail eagles feeding on 'roo and other roadkill.
