The Ozark, a remnant of the golden age of bathing, retains only its exterior splendor, having closed operations some time ago. These bathhouses were built directly over the line of springs and serviced millions of customers in their heyday. The colorless, odorless, 143 ºF spring water was believed to possess medicinal value.
Update: The Hot Springs National Park has "re-purposed" the Ozark and it now serves as the park's cultural center hosting special park events and serving as an art gallery.
